Ask specifically about the IP rating (weatherproofing), pixel type, and warranty terms on the hardware itself.
2. What warranty do you offer?
The industry standard for quality permanent lighting installations is a lifetime warranty on both hardware and workmanship. If an installer offers less than a lifetime warranty, ask why.
Be sure to get the warranty terms in writing before you sign anything.
3. Are you licensed and insured?
This is non-negotiable. Any contractor working on your home should be fully licensed and insured. Ask for proof of:

4. Can I see examples of your recent work?

7. What post-installation support do you provide?
Your relationship with your installer shouldn’t end on installation day. Ask about:
– Response time for warranty claims
– Process for replacing failed hardware
– Availability for app troubleshooting
– Annual maintenance options
